Welcome to NYFCR Blog!

Hi! I’m really glad you stopped by to take a look at my blog. My name is Patrick Foley, and I am a 54 year old school teacher. I currently teach fifth grade science at a school that is literally 5 minutes from my house. I have been teaching at the same school for 23 years. I really enjoy the staff, as well as the children. It is a great district to work for, and I suppose it may be one of the reasons I have started this blog.

Currently, I am involved in a lot of community functions. It seems I have my hand in so many different projects these days, but that is what keeps me young. To keep up with all the hustle and bustle of my busy little community, I thought I would start an informative blog about current events. There is no other site already in place that offers this, so I decided to give it a try.

Besides staying active in the community and teaching school, I am a father of 2 daughters. Both my daughters have blessed me and my wife of 35 years with 6 grandchildren. There is nothing better than spoiling your grandkids rotten. I guess you could say I never grew up, because children have always been a huge part of my life.

My daughters live close by, so I get to see all of my family often. I hope to retire in a few more years, as my wife will be nearing her retirement as well. We plan to do some traveling once we have both taken the plunge to hang up our 9 to 5 jobs. It has always been a dream of ours to see many different parts of the world.

Although, we may travel the world, home is where our hearts will always be. Family has always been a priority in my life, as well as my community. I think of my community as family, because it is small and intimate.

As far as blogging goes, this is a new adventure for me. I have always enjoyed writing. I never got serious about it, but I am very excited to share upcoming events and current news with those within my community. It is something that interest me very much so, and I know I won’t find myself at a loss for words.

I’ve lived in Williamsburg, Ohio my whole life, and my parents have lived here their whole lives as well. I guess you could call it a family tradition. The way I see it, if your content, Why change it? I may love traveling, but I will never call another community my home. I hope you enjoy browsing around my blog, and hopefully it will get you wanting to engage in some of the fun festivities my community has to offer. I am sure that if you are having a glance at my page, you already have an interest in coming to visit or you live here. Either way, I am very excited about offering you more information.
