NYFC's Anti-Bullying Initiative
In 2009, NYFC announced a new initiative to address the problem of bullying in our community.
We offer support services to help both victims and perpetrators of bullying. If you are interested in enlisting help from our agency because you, your son or daughter has been a victim of bullying or has been identified as engaging in bullying against other kids, please contact us. At NYFC, we work with young people and their parents by providing traditional therapy, Life Scene Investigation Groups or a combination of the two services.
We feel strongly that to alleviate this problem, a multi-disciplinary approach is necessary. NYFC is only one of many components to combat peer abuse. Schools, parents, students, social organizations and other members of the community have a significant role to fulfill if we indeed want to eliminate the problem and increase our children's safety in their educational, social, and online environments.
The Internet contains many resources to help kids and parents learn more about bullying and what can be done to help.
